Special Services

Newton Cemetery includes perpetual care for the maintenance of grass in the purchase price of all interment locations throughout the Cemetery. In addition, we offer the following special memorialization services to commemorate the deceased.

Perpetual Care
On lots where plantings are permitted, we offer you the option of permanent plantings consisting of shrubs and/or ornamental trees. Both permanent plantings and flower beds are carefully prepared and planted by our Landscape and Greenhouse Departments and are arranged on lots at the base of the central monument. Special perpetual care contracts are available for maintaining in perpetuity such plantings.
Floral Arrangements
The staff of our on-site greenhouse provides a broad selection of beautiful floral displays and holiday arrangements. At Newton Cemetery, you have the option to arrange for floral tributes to be placed on various holidays as well as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. You may choose from either Annual Care or Perpetual Care method of payment.
The Book of Remembrance
The Book of Remembrance has been placed in our columbarium for those wishing to provide a floral tribute and a lasting form of memorial for loved ones who are cremated or interred at Newton Cemetery. Enclosed in an elegant cherry wood and glass case, the book is bound in red leather, gold tooled and of highest quality handmade paper prepared to last 1,000 years.

Every year, on the anniversary of the date of death or birth of a loved one the book will be opened and in beautiful hand lettered script, the name of the person to be remembered will be revealed along with a brief epitaph of your choice. Adjacent to the name of the deceased, the donor's name will be displayed. For a one-time endowment fee, your entry will be inscribed and a floral tribute will be placed next to the book every year on the specified date.
