Thanks to the generosity of supporters since its formation in 2017, the Friends of Newton Cemetery has realized success in historic preservation, horticultural projects, and public programs. Achievements include:

  • Restoration of the historic Whipple Beal fence
  • Creation of a new pollinator garden
  • The first official artist-in-residence program
  • Archives assessment and recommendations
  • Tree planting initiative
  • Ongoing partnership with the City of Newton Summer Internship Program

Thank you for helping to keep Newton Cemetery & Arboretum an exceptional resource.
