Pond Fish Tour

Join us for a talk and tour with Bob Mallard of the Native Fish Coaliton about the fish and ponds of Newton Cemetery & Arboretum.

Take a walk through Historic Newton Cemetery & Arboretum and learn about Cold Spring Brook, the four ponds and two lagoons on the property, and the fish and other aquatic life that call them home.

Join former Newton resident and Executive Director for Native Fish Coalition Bob Mallard as he explains the history of the property’s waterways and how everything ties together today. This will include collecting and viewing fish and discussing what is being done on the grounds to help them thrive.

The tour will take place rain or shine. Comfortable walking shoes, water, a camera and plenty of questions are recommended. The tour will last approximately 90 minutes.

The tour will meet at the entrance of the chapel parking lot, where parking is also available.
