For an immediate need, please contact Newton Cemetery or your funeral home. If you do not have a funeral home, please refer to the list of area funeral homes in our resource section. The funeral home will work directly with Newton Cemetery throughout the planning process. A funeral service professional will obtain all the necessary permits, arrange transportation to the crematory from wherever the death has occurred and coordinate the medical examination. The Newton Cemetery cremation fee does not include these services. The fee includes cremation, coordination with your funeral home, cemetery record keeping and an elegantly wrapped temporary urn.
If planning a future cremation, please contact Newton Cemetery, your funeral home and your attorney. Having plans in place will ensure your wishes for cremation are carried through.
