Newton Cemetery is proud to be affiliated with a number of local and national industry organizations. Staff members attend educational seminars and events throughout the year to stay abreast of the latest industry news, education and information.

INTERNATIONAL CEMETERY, CREMATION AND FUNERAL ASSOCIATION

The ICCFA is the only international trade association representing all segments of the cemetery, funeral service, cremation and memorialization profession. The association has information resources to help consumers more directly.


NEW ENGLAND CEMETERY ASSOCIATION

The NECA is an educational organization dedicated to the collection and dissemination of information pertaining to the operation, maintenance and improvement of New England cemeteries. Members represent all six New England states and beyond.


MASSACHUSETTS CEMETERY ASSOCIATION

The MCA is a professional organization whose purpose is to promote the advancement of knowledge in the operation and maintenance of cemeteries. MCA programs and events allow industry professionals to network and share information.


CREMATION ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA

Founded in 1913, the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) is an international trade association of over 3,300 members, composed of funeral homes, cemeteries, crematories, industry suppliers, consultants and students. CANA’s mission is to serve as the leading authority on all aspects of cremation. Members are part of a community of cremation experts and eligible to participate in the CANA certification program, conventions and online classes.


AMERICAN PUBLIC GARDENS ASSOCIATION

The American Public Gardens Association serves public gardens and advances them as leaders, advocates, and innovators. The Association is committed to increasing the knowledge of public garden professionals throughout North America and internationally through information sharing, professional development, networking, public awareness, and research so they have the tools to effectively serve visitors and members.


ARBNET

The mission of ArbNet is to foster the establishment and professionalism of arboreta. ArbNet provides helpful resources to improve operations, research, conservation, and education. Members have access to arboretum-focused news and events and the opportunity to connect with other arboreta to collaborate.


MASSACHUSETTS ARBORISTS ASSOCIATION 

Newton Cemetery takes the care and maintenance of its trees seriously. A full-time Massachusetts Certified Arborist who is a member of the Massachusetts Arborist Association is on staff.  The Massachusetts Certified Arborist program provides a means of self-improvement and continuing education for the certified professional. 


CHARLES RIVER REGIONAL CHAMBER 

Newton Cemetery has been a member of the Charles River Regional Chamber since 1990. 


MASSACHUSETTS ASSOCIATION OF LAWN CARE PROFESSIONALS

The Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals (MALCP) was founded in 1989 to advocate for and promote professionalism in the Lawn Care industry and  to serve as an information resource to association members, legislators and Boards of Health, as well as the general public.
